Friday Favorites!

This week was a sleepy one. I was recovering from a little jet lag, getting over being sick and waking up through the night to a sick doggy. Needless to say, I am very happy to have a nice weekend with the hubs, catching up on some sleep and enjoying some fall activities!

Thank you for letting me link up Andrea, Erika and Narci.

To start out my favorites from this week I wanted to recap my recent business trip to Seattle. What a fantastic city! This Florida girl fell in love with the cooler fall climate immediately! When I flew out of Tampa I was pretty sick and had zero speaking voice. Fun fact, airports are loud places and tough to navigate with no voice. Bonus, I got some sympathy points from the airline person who checked me in and I didn't have to pay for my luggage to be checked! #smallwinsmakemehappy

I worked most of the time I was in Seattle but was able to squeeze in some exploring and great food. The weather was incredible the day I did the majority of my sightseeing which made me fall (#punintended) even more in love with this place!

Nothin' but blue sky! :)

This was the best coconut cream pie I have ever had, in my life. I went back a second time for this bad boy. It was from one of Tom Douglas' restaurants called, The Palace Kitchen

I spent hours wandering around Pike Place Market. I walked and walked and then walked some more. I came home with some goodies and couldn't resist the views and food choices! I waited in line for a half an hour to grab the below Smoked Salmon Pate pastry. #WORTHIT

I was told I couldn't miss out on this famous joint and it did not disappoint.

#beautyallaround

I came, I saw, I chickened out and couldn't get on the Great Wheel. #wimp
Speaking of Seattle temps, my second (and third) favorites for this week would have to be the best coat and scarf for sightseeing! SUCH a great fall jacket/scarf combo and perfect for cooler Florida temps (when, and IF, they ever arrive). They were comfy and light weight...I could throw them in my bag and ball them up without worrying about any wrinkles. #amazing.

(a similar one...mine seems to be out of stock)

Next up for the week was a gift I received while I was away on my trip. Funny story, my husband (who was home) would not believe me that I didn't make a purchase and kept teasing me that I just forgot I had ordered something:) I guess I have a reputation #oops! However, our recent visitors were so sweet and sent a hostess gift as a thank you and WE love the addition to our kitchen! I am ALWAYS looking for a place to put my iPad when I am reading off a recipe and this could not be more perfect! Thank you so much again, Meghan! xo

Lastly, my genuine happiness based on the release of the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life official trailer made my heart go pitter-patter. I am beyond excited for the November 25th premiere and to officially kick off the holiday season! Is it too early to be this excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas?!? I blame this election...I yearn for happier times! #illgowiththat

I hope y'all have such a great weekend! We have fun plans to carve some pumpkins with friends and I am so excited for it:) #weforcefallinflorida

Friday Favorites!

I was a little under the weather this week which made it drag slightly. But I am on the up and up so this weekend should be a good one! Last night was our Supper Club and the theme was pumpkin! Just delicious. Two of my attending besties are the cutest pregnant women and they are not helping with the #babyfever! I had to sneak in a picture :)

Thanks for hosting this awesome linkup, Andrea, Narci and Erika.

Up first this week would be this AWESOME Pumpkin Hummus Recipe I recently made for our monthly Supper Club and served it with Trader Joe's pumpkin chips. I stuffed myself silly on this delicious app. These specific chips really compliment the flavor and spice of this hummus and
-bonus- on their own they are scrumptious.

Speaking of pumpkins and Fall things, I am SO happy that Anthropologie is having a nice Fall sale of 30% off tops when using coupon code YAY. I have been lusting after the below fall tunic and finally took the plunge with this sale! #thanksgivinghereicome

Next up to bat for this week, would have to be signing my hubby up for Stitch Fix Men! I cannot wait to see what outfits they pick out for him that will inevitably make him look even more handsome :) It was so much fun filling out a profile for him and he (dare I say) is a little excited for the arrival of his first fix. More to come on this as soon as it arrives in early November!

In our process of "makin' (me) a mama", this week I downloaded an app called "Shine", by The Bump, that assists in tracking your monthly data, recording details and sending alerts etc. I wanted to reach out to y'all and see if there was any other suggested apps or websites that would be useful and informative in regards to TTC.

Lastly, I had to throw in my review of The Girl on the Train! I really enjoyed the twists and the acting behind it all. The ending was a touch graphic for me...but I am a little weak stomached with things like that :/. Emily Blunt was really great in it and played the part of a person with some demons very well. Also a plus, from what I have been told, it followed closely to the book which is a hard feat! One thing for sure is that it was a fun girl's night out!

Friday Favorites!

Happy Friday!! I am very excited we made it to this day! I am looking forward to my weekend plans and my weekend treat- some PSL!

*Update, due to the weather here in FLA I have another hurricane day and am not working on this rainy/windy Friday*

As always, thank you for hosting us, Erika, Narci and Andrea!

This week the winner of my favorites would have to be my recent love affair with XHIT Daily! These YouTube videos offer an awesome variety of high intensity exercises that target every area (i.e. arms, abs, legs etc). There is so much variety and it has been keepin' me very sore...a good feeling because that means it's working!!

Next up are some movie reviews!

We saw two this weekend, a movie on Saturday and then another on Sunday! Gettin' 'em in while we can:) #kidless

The first movie was Snowden. Joseph Gordon-Levitt rocked this role. It was an eye opening film and made me even more interested in what the outcome of this situation will bring in 5, 10, 25 years. It was worth the watch and definitely heightened my awareness of how much we truly are monitored through our electronics.

The next flick we caught was a Sunday matinee, Deepwater Horizon. I cried a few times during this film #shocking (and was mocked by the hubs). Remembering the effects this disaster had locally here and watching the detailed story behind it all was tough.

Mad love for #markymark

Another incredible find this week is this adorable dress (in Olive) that will be a great Fall piece! I cannot wait until it is delivered!

Finally, I am so excited to see Garth Brooks in concert this weekend with one of my best friends! Hoping Hurricane Matthew does not mess with our plans!!

Thank you so much for reading and have a great weekend!
