Friday Favorites!

This week was a sleepy one. I was recovering from a little jet lag, getting over being sick and waking up through the night to a sick doggy. Needless to say, I am very happy to have a nice weekend with the hubs, catching up on some sleep and enjoying some fall activities!

Thank you for letting me link up Andrea, Erika and Narci.

To start out my favorites from this week I wanted to recap my recent business trip to Seattle. What a fantastic city! This Florida girl fell in love with the cooler fall climate immediately! When I flew out of Tampa I was pretty sick and had zero speaking voice. Fun fact, airports are loud places and tough to navigate with no voice. Bonus, I got some sympathy points from the airline person who checked me in and I didn't have to pay for my luggage to be checked! #smallwinsmakemehappy

I worked most of the time I was in Seattle but was able to squeeze in some exploring and great food. The weather was incredible the day I did the majority of my sightseeing which made me fall (#punintended) even more in love with this place!

Nothin' but blue sky! :)

This was the best coconut cream pie I have ever had, in my life. I went back a second time for this bad boy. It was from one of Tom Douglas' restaurants called, The Palace Kitchen

I spent hours wandering around Pike Place Market. I walked and walked and then walked some more. I came home with some goodies and couldn't resist the views and food choices! I waited in line for a half an hour to grab the below Smoked Salmon Pate pastry. #WORTHIT

I was told I couldn't miss out on this famous joint and it did not disappoint.

I came, I saw, I chickened out and couldn't get on the Great Wheel. #wimp
Speaking of Seattle temps, my second (and third) favorites for this week would have to be the best coat and scarf for sightseeing! SUCH a great fall jacket/scarf combo and perfect for cooler Florida temps (when, and IF, they ever arrive). They were comfy and light weight...I could throw them in my bag and ball them up without worrying about any wrinkles. #amazing.

(a similar one...mine seems to be out of stock)

Next up for the week was a gift I received while I was away on my trip. Funny story, my husband (who was home) would not believe me that I didn't make a purchase and kept teasing me that I just forgot I had ordered something:) I guess I have a reputation #oops! However, our recent visitors were so sweet and sent a hostess gift as a thank you and WE love the addition to our kitchen! I am ALWAYS looking for a place to put my iPad when I am reading off a recipe and this could not be more perfect! Thank you so much again, Meghan! xo

Lastly, my genuine happiness based on the release of the Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life official trailer made my heart go pitter-patter. I am beyond excited for the November 25th premiere and to officially kick off the holiday season! Is it too early to be this excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas?!? I blame this election...I yearn for happier times! #illgowiththat

I hope y'all have such a great weekend! We have fun plans to carve some pumpkins with friends and I am so excited for it:) #weforcefallinflorida

Thank you so much for reading!
